As Diamond Plus Members on Royal we can tell you this was the worst experience we have ever encountered. The ship was in deplorable condition, the rooms were dirty, the casino was full of dirty ashtrays and glasses and the staff was indifferent and some were just plain rude. Not the Royal experience one would expect. Customer service across the ship was subpar. Seemed as if crew members were just punching their time cards and not very hospitable. Bottom Line – if you are over 50 or don’t enjoy ear blasting, chest thumping music, Royal Caribbean is not the cruise line for you. Try Viking or Oceania.RCI app: this is arguably the worst thing on the cruise. RCI insists you use the app for almost everything, but it works poorly when it works at all. Android or Apple (we had some of each in our group) makes no difference. App will fail

Well I have to say that for all the hype and lead up, I’m more than a little less than impressed.We have only cruised once before and it was on Celebrity (subsidiary of Royal Caribbean) and it was incredible. Diamond family of 3 with Boardwalk balcony (booked through travel agent) and assigned a room where we could see the water theater (excellent location). The interior balcony room was very tight for 3 and would not recommend it for more than 2 people. Our stateroom attendant did not stop by twice daily to take care of the sofa bed so we had to ourselves. Service was very friendly everywhere. Ship

Liberty shows its age here and there. Carpets, elevators, some furniture and in older in room technologies. None of this will take away from your experience.Current cruise director is not very good. Embarkation was unbelievably easy. We were scheduled for 12:00 pm but arrived around 11:00 am and had no trouble getting on. The facial recognition that they use is awesome and makes the experience so much easier.
