Stuart - Richard Sheridan O'Hara, MD, was born in New York City, August 3, 1930, to Mabel and Thomas O'Hara.Raised in Pelham Manor, NY, he spent his professional life in Andover, MA, retiring to Osterville, MA and Palm City FL. Dick was involved in scouting, receiving the coveted Eagle Scout Award. At Pelham HS, he earned varsity letters in baseball, basketball, football, and known as "triple threat," for his running, passing and kicking proficiencies. Dick served as President for his 1948 HS class.Dick graduated summa cum laude (BS, Biology), from College of the Holy Cross (Worcester, MA,1952), receiving his MD degree from Harvard Medical School (Cambridge, MA,1956). He completed his general/vascular surgical residency at Case Western Reserve (Cleveland, OH), followed by two years active duty as Lieutenant Commander in the US Navy, Newport, RI., also serving as Block Island's visiting physician. He was honorably discharged in 1963.Dr. O'Hara cared for patients of the greater Merrimack Valley, co-founding Andover Surgical Associates, serving as Managing Partner for 31 years. He was senior staff surgeon at Lawrence General Hospital (Lawrence, MA), serving as Chief of the Medical Staff/Chief of Surgery, and senior staff surgeon at Holy Family Hospital (Methuen, MA).A passionate golfer, Dick achieved seven holes-in-one during his lifetime. He was two-time Club Champion at NACC (North Andover, MA), and member of: Andover CC (Andover, MA), Oyster Harbors Club (Osterville, MA), Harbour Ridge CC (Palm City FL), and Bay State Seniors Golf Association.Dick died peacefully at age 93, December 30, 2023, surrounded by loving family. He's survived by his beloved wife, Mary Ellen, and children, Carolyn (Michael) Shannon, Richard (Holly) O'Hara, Christopher (Elissa) O'Hara, Alyson (Hugh) Donlon, Sheridan O'Hara, Matthew (Kristen) O'Hara, Dwight O'Hara, James O'Hara. He was cherished as "Poppa" to 15 grandchildren, survived by sister, Jane Larkin, and predeceased by siblings Thomas and Alice.A Mass of Resurrection will be held Saturday, June 29, 2024, 10:30 a.m. at St. Augustine's Church (43 Essex Street, Andover). Andover - Robert "Bob" Nevers Cratty, 98, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 10, at Prescott House in North Andover. Robert was born in Patten, Maine on September 30, 1925, son of the late Bernard Cratty and Jayne Nevers Cratty. He attended Patten Academy and enlisted in the U.S. Army from 1943 to 1946. After serving his country, Bob attended the University of Maine under the G.I. Bill, majoring in Agriculture. Bob fell in love with Jeannine Fitzgerald, at a sweetheart dance and they married in 1949 and settled in Patten where he taught high school until 1952. Upon accepting a position with the Federal Land Bank, Bob moved his family to Springfield, Massachusetts until 1957 when he accepted a position with the Farm Credit Administration and moved his family to Morrisville, Vermont. In 1960, there would be one final move for Bob and his family to Andover, Massachusetts when he began a successful career with Blue Seal Feeds, Inc.(H.K. Webster Company) of Lawrence, Massachusetts as vice president of credit. Bob retired in 1990.Bob was a member of South Church in Andover for 61 years, teaching Sunday school and serving on many boards and committees throughout his active years. He loved a good sermon. Every night he read from a book of prayers he received when he was 18 years old that he kept on his bedside table. Bob loved working in his garden and digging in the dirt. As a young boy living in Aroostook County, Maine "potato country," he picked potatoes for pennies a barrel. Every year, Bob would sow his seeds and tend his garden for hours on end and reap the results of his hard work. Bob was a man of immense humor and wisdom, cherishing every moment spent with his loved ones telling stories. He loved telling a good joke and he'd laugh harder than anyone else.After the death of his wife, Jeannine in 1995, Bob found love again when he met Mary "Betty" Murray while attending a local swing dance. Bob and Betty danced and traveled and shared a life together, lasting more than two decades, enjoying life well into their retirement years.Bob's life will forever be cherished in the lives of his children: Barry Cratty and his wife, Norma of Andover, Cynthia Slauter and her husband, Steven of Katy, TX; his grandchildren: Jeff Cratty and his wife, Kimberly of Andover, Daniel Cratty and his wife, Marjan of Andover, Emily Cratty Dunn and her husband, Rob of Methuen, Stephanie Slauter Steudel and her husband, Zachary of Springtown, TX, and Samantha Slauter of Katy TX; his great-grandchildren: Sophia, Miles, Henry, Caroline, Lorelai, Maximilian, Vivienne, and Bennett; and his long-time companion, Mary Murray of Nashua, NH.Bob is predeceased by his wife, Jeannine Fitzgerald Cratty, his son, William Cratty, and his older brother Arthur Cratty.There will be a memorial gathering at Conte Funeral Home, 28 Florence Street in Andover on Thursday, June 20 from 4 to 7 p.m. A Celebration of Life will be held at South Church, 41 Central Street in Andover on Friday, June 21 at 11 a.m.The family wishes to extend sincere thanks and gratitude to Mary "Betty" Murray for her unending love and devotion; and the staff at Atria Marland Place in Andover and Prescott House in North Andover, for their loving care.

Haverhill - Gary "Stephen" Park, 61, of Haverhill, passed away on Wednesday, June 5 at the Holy Family Hospital in Methuen.Stephen was born in Dorchester, MA on August 6, 1962 the son of Hugh and Barbara (Hamilton) Park. He grew up in Dorchester and then moved to Haverhill at the age of eight. Stephen worked at several local companies over the years including Alden Merrill Cheesecake Factory, the Cabot House Furniture Company, and as an assembler making circuit boards. A musician in local bands, Stephen played bass guitar for Anvil Trask and Persuader. Stephen was a history buff, he enjoyed boxing and was a nature fanatic, he especially loved dogs and cats.Stephen is survived by his three brothers, Hugh David Park, Jr. of Epping, NH, Sean Park of Haverhill and Eric Park of Peabody, his close friends Charles and Holly Casey of Salem, NH, and several nephews. Salem - GEORGE J. "BUD" KHOURY, JR., SALEM, NEW HAMPSHIREIt is with great sadness that we announce the passing of the unparalleled George J. "Bud" Khoury, Jr. longtime resident of Salem, NH, who passed away unexpectedly on June 7, 2024 and has gone to join his beloved youngest son, Gary, parents, George and Dominica, and sister, Marilyn, who predeceased him. He was born in Lawrence, MA on July 21, 1936."Bud," as he was affectionately known, graduated at age 15, as the then youngest graduate with Honors from Lawrence High School in 1952 and received his undergraduate degree in English/Journalism with honors from Northeastern University and a Master's Degree in English Literature, and member of Sigma Epsilo Rho Honor Society;. And had additional post graduate training in in the Harbridge House Advanced Management Training in Boston, Massachusetts.He proudly served in the Coast Guard and was a Korean Veteran; he was at the time, the youngest petty officer (18 years old) in service. He was a crewmember of the Andrea Doria Rescue Vessel, USCGC Tamoaroa (WATF-166). He was a member of the American Legion Pershing Post No. 1, Paris, France and Member, USCG Sea Veterans. He was a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.Bud was well known, loved and respected in New Hampshire and the Merrimack Valley, very active in the community and the definition of true public service. Rogers Humanitarian of the Year; Citizen of the Year, Chief John P. Ganley Salem Community Service Award.His business career included positions as Director, Customer relations (Corporate)/Vice President Business Development for Raytheon International. During his tenure there, he was responsible for New England based Congressional relations. He served as Executive Director/Assistant Treasurer of Raytheon's corporate-wide international Political Action Committee. Upon his early retirement, formed George J. Khoury, corp, a fulltime management government relations consulting firm.He was thoroughly invested and enjoyed immensely his second home of Nantucket Island for over 40 years, and his many friends at the Angler's club there. His love and talent for cooking was well known and his "hors doerves" night at the Angler's Club was always a hit. He was a strong supporter of the autism community on and off island.He was a devoted Husband to his wife, Patricia, and served as the "Gold Standard" as loving and inspirational father and grandfather to his sons, Patrick and his Wife Heather from Cary, IL, Scott Anthony and his wife, Gisele, of Hampton, NH; daughter, Pamela Jayne, and his much loved grandchildren, Shannon, Scott, Garrett, Max, Andrew, Daniel, Rachel, Jaclyn and Nicholas and great granddaughter Evelyn, brother to Brian of Montana, and uncle to many including his niece Marguerite and her husband Dr. Anthony Sciuto of Methuen.His humility and willingness to mentor and or provide counsel to countless others was another legacy.In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to benefit the development of his beloved grandson, R. Exeter - Wife, mother, grandmother, friend, soulmate, KKThe bright and beautiful presence of Karen Kay Kerkhoff Kelly expired on May 24, 2024 from complications relating to her heart. And what a heart it was. By her own admission, a people pleaser, she was always there to love, support, assist and generally BE for everyone. She was known to arrive at any hour and under any circ*mstance to help out family and friends in need. Known as KK by those closest to her, even by her grandchildren ("I am not Grandma!"), she was the ultimate caregiver to her three children and their eventual partners, and to her five grandkids and multiple grand pups. Her family was her priority. Even-keeled with a loving hand, she knew exactly what her "peeps" needed, from staying up all night to hold a hand, to hosting carbo loads for many sports teams, to "snuggle reads" with her grandchildren. She was so proud of each of them and never hesitated to brag about their accomplishments to anyone who would listen.KK loved photography and was quite skilled in framing the perfect shot as her Christmas cards attest. Many trips required her husband Bob to sherpa additional bags of cameras and equipment so that she was prepared for any possibility. A big fan of Jimmy Buffett and an early adopter of country music, she found amusem*nt in corny lines but solace in descriptions of the simple life, especially beach life, on which she based her own. She had a natural eye for fashion and decor, and enjoyed spending time in her gardens. From daily walks around town, to bike rides on Hilton Head Island, to tearing up dance floors, KK was always on the move. She relished her quiet time with a great book, but was a welcoming host who was revered for her killer margaritas.KK touched many lives, and will be remembered and missed by so many- including early friends in Salem, NH, her Alpha Xi sorority sisters at the University of New Hampshire, her Dartmouth gang, and her Exeter community. She was a wonderful friend, who found great joy in the human connection and went out of her way to support her loved ones.KK is survived by her loving family, by her adoring husband of 43 years, Bob Kelly of Exeter, NH; her three children and their spouses, Shalagh and Brook Bacon of Nashua, NH, Ryan and Lauren Kelly of Exeter, NH, and Devin and Caroline Kelly of Barrington, NH; her sister, Joy Wasz of Simsbury, CT and brother David Kerkhoff of Northwood, NH; her five grandchildren; and many in-laws, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. She is pre-deceased by her father, Phillip Kerkhoff, her mother, Joan Kerkhoff, and her older sister, Susan Lynn Kerkhoff. Susie passed away of kidney failure as a child, and was KK's first best friend. As her father also passed due to complications from kidney failure, memorial donations may be made in KK's name to the American Kidney Foundation. Methuen - Thomas Peter Allain passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 11, 2024.Born in Andover February 28, 1932 to Thomas and Phoebe (Bernard) Allain, he was a resident of South Lawrence, Methuen, MA and Ft Myers, FL. Tom served in the United States Navy during the Korean War. He worked many years as a floor mechanic for Arlington and Lawrence Floor Covering also for the Gillette Company in Ballardvale until his retirement in1994. A longtime member of the Lawrence Elks where he would play 45's card games and enjoyed spending time with his fellow Elk members. Tom enjoyed spending time in St. Maarten, while also visiting other islands with his wife of 54 years, Patricia (Mannion) Allain, as well as many years with his family at their summer home at Chases Grove, on Big Island Pond, Derry NH. Taking many trips back home to Prince Edward Island to visit his relatives and friends, especially his cousin, Benny Bernard. Their adventures including fishing, clam digging and steaming lobsters. In the winter months he spent his time in Fort Myers with his loved ones and friends at the Pinewood and Brandy Wine communities. After his wife, Patricia succumbed to cancer he courted and eventually married Bernadette Connell who was a good friend and a big help to our mom during her battle with Multiple Myeloma. Tom and "Bernie" enjoyed traveling on cruise ships and enjoyed going to many different casinos and beaches. Beloved husband of Bernadette (Connell) Allain married 10 years. children, Thomas W. N. Andover - Rita D. (Rodolico) Rancourt, 89, of North Andover, MA, formerly of Methuen, MA, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 11, 2024, at Brightview Senior Living. She was born in Lawrence, MA, on September 29, 1934, to the late Giovanni and Carmelina (Luistro) Rodolico.Educated in Lawrence, MA, Rita graduated from Lawrence High School, class of 1951. She attended and completed her dental assistant certification from Boston School of Dental Nursing in 1952. She was employed by many local orthodontists in the Merrimack Valley Area, retiring from the office of Dr. Anthony Broccoli, of Andover, MA, whom she considered her second family. She was very special to all of her former co-workers and patients.Rita was a devout Catholic her entire life. She attended novenas and daily mass at her former parish of St. Monica Church in Methuen. In recent years, she would worship at St. Michael Church in North Andover. Her devotion to the rosary and the Blessed Mother was unwavering. Whenever someone had a special intention to pray for, they would ask for her help saying she was a direct line to heaven.Most of her life, Rita lived in Methuen before reluctantly moving to Brightview in 2020. She loved her home so much and took such pride in always keeping it meticulous. She was a thoughtful, generous, compassionate, and loving mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, and great-grandmother. In earlier years, she would enjoy organizing events, parties, and social gatherings. Her friends were a very special part of her life and she cherished them deeply. Her love of dancing and singing brought her so much joy, and spending time with her family was her major source of happiness. No one could make lemon cookies and stuffed artichokes better than Rita. North Andover - Edna A. (Daigle) Croteau, 97, of Methuen, MA, passed away surrounded by her loving son's on Monday June 10, 2024, at the Prescott House in North Andover, MA. She was the widow of Robert P. Croteau.Born and raised in Lawrence, MA, she was the daughter of the late Adelard and Regina (Heon) Daigle. Edna was a graduate of Sacred Heart High School, in Lawrence, MA, Class of 1944.Edna was a long time member at the Rainbow Club, at St. Theresa's, where she was a regular at Tuesday 45's and bingo. She was an avid bowler and loved to travel. Most of all she cherished her time with her grandchildren.Edna will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her sons, J. Salem - Robert (Bob) G. MacKenzie 86, passed away unexpectedly April 2024. He was preceded by his loving wife, Phylllis M. MacKenzie, parents Christine and John MacKenzie, siblings Gladys Ryan, Emerson MacKenzie, Katherine Williamson and L.Jane Parker. He was survived by his children Scott MacKenzie (wife Janette) and Pamela MacKenzie (partner Christopher Novak), nephews Terry, Kevin(wife Bonita), Johnny Moynihan and Neil Williamson and niece Kathy Ryan Donahue.Bob was born and raised in Somerville MA. He became a skilled painter and eventually joined the US Army. Bob served at home and abroad. During his service, Bob trained as a sharpshooter, worked in a library in Germany and married the love of his life, Phyllis. He earned an honorable discharge and moved to Salem NH to start a family.After the Army, Bob enjoyed solving complex, electrical and mechanical challenges. He worked as a skilled technician for several businesses ranging from large computer companies to Italian shoe manufacturers.Bob and Phyllis were members of Pleasant Street Methodist Church and square danced with the Salem Steppers. You could often find Bob working with his son on whatever mechanical items that needed fixing. Bob loved to fish anywhere he found a lake, but especially in the mountains of NH. Bob was always game for a basket of clam bellies with extra tartar sauce.In retirement, Bob found a passion for Golf. He played in the Golden Eagles Golf League and enjoyed rounds at Campbel's Scottish Highlands Golf Course. In his later years, Bob enjoyed Bible Study with his friends at local congregations in Salem. However, what he loved most were visits from family, friends and neighbors.Those that knew Bob were familiar with his unmistakable, roaring laugh that could be heard across the room. Portsmouth - Michael H. "Mic" Roberts, 77, formerly of Plaistow, NH and Myrtle Beach, SC, died June 1, 2024 at Exeter Hospital.Born in Fall River, MA, son of the late Henry and Gertrude (Bernier) Roberts, he graduated from De La Salle Academy in Newport R.I. and received his Associate's Degree from Rhode Island Junior College.Mic was employed as a lineman for several regional electric power companies, including New England Power Co.A longtime Neil Diamond fan, he and his late wife, Kathleen took several "trips of a lifetime" to Costa Rica, Hawaii and cruising the Mediterranean. He was devoted to his family and enjoyed attending his grandchildren's sporting events, listening to the Red Sox games in his beach chair, and the companionship of his dog "Roxie".Predeceased in 2021 by his wife Kathleen Manning, he is survived by six children, Lisa M. 'Ben' Benoit, 85, a resident of Hampton Beach, NH, passed away on Saturday, June 8, 2024 at the Portsmouth Regional Hospital in Portsmouth, NH.The son of the late Wilfred and Jeannette (Houle) Benoit, Ben was born and educated in Lawrence and was a 1957 graduate of Lawrence High School. He went on to attend Merrimack College in North Andover. Ben served in the Military Police in the United States Army Reserves. He retired from Wang Laboratories where he had worked as a Contracts Manager for over 20 years. Despite being French, Ben loved Irish songs and dancing. He loved his numerous trips to Ireland. Ben took great pride in his family, it was the most important thing in his life.Ben is survived by his wife of 64 years Helen M. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who will be deeply missed by all who knew her.She was born in Haverhill, MA on February 28,1941, daughter of the late William and Frances (Weiand) Bramley. She enjoyed a wonderful home shared by her parents and grandparents and became an X-ray technician and worked in healthcare in the Merrimack Valley for 40 years. She thrived at teaching and supporting her coworkers in her management role.Pat settled in Atkinson, NH. She loved spending time with her husband Mike, camping, boating, traveling, and then more recently enjoying all the benefits of retirement in Florida. She loved family more than anything and has enjoyed watching her family grow. She leaves behind four children, 13 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She was always quick to smile and share in the festivities; she loved family events.In her free time, Pat enjoyed reading, cooking, ice skating, dancing, and visiting the beach. She was eager to share a story and to share her knowledge and compassion with others. (Poulin) Schloth, 91, of Atkinson, died peacefully at her home on Sunday morning, June 9, 2024.Born, raised and educated in Haverhill, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Odelie (Lagasse) Poulin. She attended Saint Joseph Grammar School and was a member of the Haverhill High, School Class of 1949.Annette first worked at Mitchell's Department Store in downtown Haverhill and later as a hostess at the former Sawyer's Restaurant in Plaistow and finally retired from Lucent Technologies in 1997.A former longtime resident of Kingston, NH and Haverhill, MA, she was a member of All Saints Parish (the former Saint Joseph Parish). Following her retirement, she immersed herself in volunteer work for her parish, which included helping to maintain the cleanliness of the church, assisting in teaching CCD and working in the Thrift Shop. She also volunteered for the St. Vincent de Paul Societies of All Saints and Saint James Parish and at the Hannah Dustin Healthcare facility.A devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother, Annette took great strength from her faith and attended daily Mass at her church or at St. Anne Church of Hampstead, NH and Holy Angels Church of Plaistow, NH. She enjoyed cooking for her family and creating a warm and inviting home for her children and their families.She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by two daughters, Linda M. Haverhill - Glen G. Mottram, 73 of Haverhill, passed away on Friday, June 7, 2024 at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. He was the beloved husband of Susan (McKenna) Mottram, to whom he was married for 54 years. Glen was born at the Clover Hill Hospital in Lawrence on May 29, 1951. He was the son of the late Leo and Rachel (Duchaneau) Mottram. He attended Lawrence Schools and graduated from the Greater Lawrence Vocational Technical High School. He then attended Northeastern University in Boston for advanced employment courses. He worked at Bolton-Emerson Americas in Lawrence for 11 years and then as a warehouse coordinator for DSM Coatings in Wilmington for 30 years until his retirement in 2013. Glen was a communicant at St. Patrick Parish in Lawrence. He was a member of the Concordia Club in Lawrence. He belonged to several drum corps for forty years. He enjoyed motorcycles, coin collecting, and sports, especially golf, fishing, and coaching Little League and Pop Warner football. He enjoyed his daily meetup at Heavenly Donuts with his crew and spending time with his grandchildren. Glen will be deeply missed by his wife, Susan Mottram. He was the loving father of his 2 sons, Glen Mottram II of Meredith, NH., and Ryan Mottram of Weare, NH. He was the cherished grandfather of Lillia, Kennedy, Austin and Zakk, Keyla and her husband Ricky of Haverhill, MA. He was the great-grandfather of McKenna and Skylar. He was the brother of Wayne Mottram, Allen Mottram, Gayle Mottram and the late Leo Mottram. Tewksbury - Michael John Donahue, 74, passed away peacefully on June 5, 2024, at the Blaire House of Tewksbury. Born on May 26, 1950, at Fort Devens in Ayer, MA, Michael was the beloved son of the late Thomas F. Donahue and the late Blanche B. (Sadzewicz) Jabour. He was raised in Lawrence, where he graduated from Lawrence High School before proudly serving his country in the United States Marine Corps.Michael's life was marked by deep faith and resilience. A devoted member of the Trinity Church of the Nazarene in North Haverhill, NH, his spirituality was a cornerstone of his life. Michael loved taking long walks, and fishing, however his greatest joy was his family, particularly his "baby sister" and his siblings, he loved all the children. Michael's generosity was evident in the simple pleasures he shared with them, such as trips to Friendly's for ice cream, where his kindness extended to other families as well. An accomplished trumpet player, he enjoyed marching with the Eagles Band, showcasing his musical talents.Michael is survived by his loving siblings: Marilyn A. Andover - Orazio Michael "Mike" Bellia, 92, passed away November 1, 2023, at High Pointe House in Haverhill, MA, surrounded by his loving family. Born on June 15, 1931, in Andover, MA, he was the son of the late Antonio and Carmela (Cavallaro) Bellia, the husband of the late Mary Frances "Fran" (LaRochelle) Bellia and brother of the late Rose Bellia.Mike spent most of his life on Greenwood Road in Andover, building a house next to his parents, where he and Fran spent 58 years together. A lifelong Catholic, he graduated from Central Catholic High School in 1949 and was the first in his family to attend college. Manchester - Jeanne F. (Morrow) Ivester, 96, of Manchester, NH and formerly of North Reading, MA, died at her home on Thursday, June 6, 2024. She was the beloved wife of the late John M. Ivester.Born in Winchester, MA on August 12, 1927. She was the daughter of the late Albert and Mary (McCarthy) Morrow. After her retirement she worked part time for Marshalls in North Reading.Jeanne was an avid bowler of the Candlewood Lanes in North Reading, until the young age of 85. Methuen - Michael E. Savage, 75, of Methuen, passed away at home on June 5, 2024, with his loving family by his side.Born and raised in Everett, MA, he was the son of the late Warren H., Sr., and Mary Elizabeth (Sullivan) Savage. Mike was a graduate of Everett High School, Class of 1967, after which he began working for a living. One of his favorite places was Polaroid, where he trained and learned so much about manufacturing, that he was soon instructing his new coworkers. Mike was a very happy loving person with a heart of gold. Through his life Mike had many jobs starting with a paper route, manual labor and highly skilled technician, including American Vending, Reebok and Polaroid till it closed. Mike was a member of American Pool players Association (APA) for five years, (He as a Whizz at the pool table) winning many awards and patches. Mike loved traveling and we took many day trips to the casino.Mike enjoyed family get together, working on race cars with his dad, playing cards, pool, cribbage and backgammon listening to classical music. Jasper served in the U.S. Army and later worked in construction. Byfield - Joseph "Joey" Tucker passed away due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident on June 3, 2024.He was born in Melrose, MA and grew up with his adoptive family in Byfield, MA. A recent graduate of Triton Regional High School, he was looking forward to attending aeronautical school with the hope of becoming a commercial pilot.Joey was a gifted athlete participating in many sports during his school years including baseball, downhill skiing and tennis. He was, like his Papa, skilled with all things mechanical and a whiz with technology of every kind. He'd become the family fix-it guy maintaining computers, cars, lawn mowers, even manning the grill.Joey was also a faithful caretaker of pets of all sorts, fish, lizard, cat and dog. He'd research the right way to care for them expertly. Londonderry - Susan C. Elmore, 75, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 5, 2024 at her home in Londonderry, NH.She was born Susan A. Cavanaugh on May 4, 1949, the daughter of the late James and Dorothy (Quinn) Cavanaugh.Susan grew up in Newtown, Connecticut and was the first in her family to go to college, graduating from Sacred Heart University as her class's valedictorian. She then entered the workforce at Travelers in Hartford, Connecticut, where she met Paul Elmore. Paul and Susan married on October 21, 1972, and remained married up until Paul's passing 45 years later in 2017.Susan lived a very full life, occupied by her professional work as an accountant, her family life as a wife and mother, and her various interests that included singing in the church choir at St. Matthew Parish, and tap dancing, which she enjoyed even into her 70s after two knee replacements! Even in her retirement years, Susan remained active with her grandchildren and as a member of her condo association's governing board. Susan brought her keen mind, her appreciation for attention to detail, and her caring heart to everything she did, and she was well-liked by those who worked, prayed, sang, or danced with her.Susan is survived by her daughter, Julie Elmore of Ayer, MA, and her son and daughter-in-law, John Elmore and Xiaohui Zeng-Elmore of Stratham, NH, whose two boys, Edward Elmore and Brian Elmore, were very fond of their grandmother. Boston - Brother Leonard F. Haley, SM, of Boston, died Tuesday, June 4, 2024 at Maristhill Nursing Home in Waltham. He was 84.Brother Leonard was born in Cambridge on July 11, 1939, a son of the late Leonard and Mary (McCullough) Haley, and was raised in Somerville. A year after graduating from Somerville High School he entered the Marist Novitiate in Staten Island, New York and received his first profession on December 8, 1959. His perpetual profession came four years later. He earned his bachelor's degree in religious studies at the University of Detroit.From there he embarked on a 60-year ministry with the Society of Mary. Fr. Leonard served the community in a variety of capacities as an administrator, pastoral and hospital ministries, and as a volunteer. He served at Notre Dame High School in Harper Woods, Michigan, Holy Name Parish in Detroit, Mount Carmel Parish in Methuen, Saint Anne Parish in Lawrence, Saint Joseph's Parish in Haverhill, Saint Lucy's Parish in Methuen and at the Marist homes in Framingham and in Boston. In retirement he continued his service to the Church and assisted at several area parishes including Our Lady Comforter of the Afflicted in Waltham.Brother Leonard leaves his brother, Robert Haley (Diane) of Hudson, his nephew, niece, cousins and their families as well as his confreres in the Society of Mary Community.Family and friends will honor and remember Bro. Haverhill - Robert (Bob) Fedorchuk, 92, of Haverhill, MA passed away peacefully with his wife and two daughters at his side, on June 6, 2024 after a period of failing health.He was born on August 30, 1931, son of the late Felix and Helen (Cortese) Fedorchuk.After graduating from the Haverhill Trade School, Bob enlisted in the United States Air Force serving during the Korean War. He was stationed in Greenland, which he loved to talk about. After completion of his Air Force Service, Robert worked as an Auto Body Repairman for several different Auto Dealerships. He then continued his career as a Model Maker at Raytheon. Continuing his love of automobiles, he attended the General Motors Institute in Flint, MI where he trained to become an adjuster for General Motors. After working for General Motors for several years, he managed several Auto Dealerships in the New England Area. He obtained his Bachelor's Degree from Fitchburg State University, and then went on to spent over 30 years as a teacher and Administrator at Greater Lowell Regional Vocational Technical High School, in Tyngsboro, MA, until his retirement in 2005.In his earlier years he loved to travel to the Islands, with his wife, Marge by his side, always returning sporting a great tan. His love of automobiles remained, going on to restore a Model T car and of course helping out any and all of those in need of car repairs. He then became interested in model ship building, and of course, each and every piece was precisely placed. Londonderry - Francisco "Frank" Carrero, 76, of Londonderry, NH, passed away on Tuesday, June 4th, 2024, at the Elliot Hospital.Frank was born on March 1, 1948, to Inocencia Vega and Gregorio Carrero. He lived in Puerto Rico until the age of 12, when he moved to Florida. Francisco began working on various vegetable farms. Upon moving to New Hampshire in his early 20s, he began his career in the automotive industry. Frank spent twenty years working for 128 Mazda in Wakefield before working as a Lot Manager of a local dealership in Manchester.In his spare time, Frank enjoyed going for motorcycle rides. Litchfield, NH & Andover - Raymond E. Nolin, a resident of Litchfield, New Hampshire, formerly of Andover, MA and beloved husband of the late Barabara A. Nolin, passed away surrounded by his family at his home on Thursday, May 30, 2024. He was 88 years old and lived a good, long and happy life.Born in Dracut, MA, on September 29, 1935, he was the beloved son of the late Edward and Virginia (Dickson) Nolin. He loved golf, reading, music and birdwatching and was visited regularly on his back porch by blue birds, finches and humming birds which gave him much joy...even the squirrels which were a comic relief. He also loved spending time with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was much beloved by his family, by the local community of Canberra Village and by all who met him and who got to know him—even briefly.He will be dearly missed by all those who knew him. He graduated from Punchard High School in 1950. He met the love of his life, Jane, at Punchard; they wed in 1952. Dick served in the United States Air Force from 1952 to 1956. During the course of his service, he and Jane lived in St. Louis, MO; and Oakland, CA. Upon his discharge from the Air Force, Dick and Jane moved to Burlington, MA with their infant son Don. Dick received his associate's degree from the Bentley School of Accounting and Finance in 1952, his Bachelor of Science from Suffolk University in 1962, and his Master of Business Administration from Fairleigh Dickinson University in 1967. He worked for Carter's in Needham, MA before moving to Oakland, NJ in 1963 to work for Lever Brothers in New York City. He and his family returned to Andover in 1967, where he began working at Western Electric. He retired from Western Electric in 1990. He fully retired in 1997 after a brief stint at the IRS.Dick loved spending time with his family more than anything. He was also an avid golfer, having achieved three holes-in-one. He was a long-time member at White Cliffs Country Club in Plymouth, MA while living in a condo on the 15th hole after retirement. Once Jane retired and the couple moved to Sagamore Beach, Dick golfed at Sandwich Hollows Golf Club daily. When they moved to a house on the Merrimack Valley Golf Club in Methuen, MA in 2009, Dick was a member there until 2019 at age 87. He loved golf because it allowed him to spend time with his son, son-in-law, and grandson, and he made many lasting friendships on the golf course. Besides golf, Dick enjoyed gardening, bowling, playing horseshoes, playing cards (bridge, whist, and 45's) and playing pool. He was able to enjoy these activities at Edgewood LifeCare Community in North Andover, MA, where he and Jane moved in 2016.Besides his loving wife of 71 years, Jane, Dick will be dearly missed by his son, Donald, of Nashua, NH; his daughter, Nancy Corsaro, and her husband, Frank, of Methuen, MA; his grandsons Matthew and Michael Corsaro, of Methuen, MA; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Raymond and Kathryn, brothers Allan and Gordon, niece Diane Lavoie and nephew Bob Munroe.

Andover - Roland A. Bibeau peacefully passed away June 3, 2024. He was born in Lawrence MA to Wilfrid and Aurore Bibeau and grew up in Sacred Heart Parish and the French-Canadian community. Roland graduated from Central Catholic High School in 1947. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean conflict. He worked as a pressman for the Lowell Sun until his retirement. He loved his family very much and enjoyed keeping track of his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.Roland was predeceased by his beloved wife Helena L. (Beaulieu) Bibeau in 1976. A woman of incredible strength, resilience, warmth and intelligence, Sandra was accomplished in many areas of life, but was always modest in demeanor. Derry - Jerome "Jerry" Joseph Guerrin, 79, of Derry, NH, passed away on Friday, May 31, 2024, at Catholic Medical Center in Manchester, NH. He was born on April 26, 1945, in Brooklyn, NY, to the late Jerome and Edna (Lee) Guerrin. He graduated from St. Francis College, Brooklyn, NY. Jerry proudly served his country with the United States Army serving as a Military Police Officer in Korea during the Vietnam War. Upon his return home, he resumed working with the United States Custom Agency as a Special Agent Group Supervisor at SAC offices in NYC, Washington, D.C. and Boston. He was president of the New England Chapter of the Association of Former Customs & Homeland Security Special Agents. He will be missed by many and his stories will live on forever. Jerry was an active member of the Derry Salem Elks Lodge and participated in their pool leagues. He also enjoyed kayaking with Carol in NH, ME and eastern Long Island, NY and attending many Pan Am alumni conventions and functions. Salem - Thelma Ann "Terry" (Terrio) McGreevy, 86, of Salem, NH (formerly Methuen, MA) passed away peacefully early Monday morning, June 3, 2024, at High Pointe Hospice House of Haverhill.Terry was born in Boston on August 11, 1937 and was the daughter of the late Peter H. and Theresa (Creighton) Terrio.Terry was the beloved wife of the late George McGreevy. She is survived by her two of her three children and six grandchildren, who affectionately called her "Grammy". Her children are Sheilagh McGreevy Shiepe (husband, Theodore Jr.), Michael McGreevy, who recently predeceased his mother, and Erin McGreevy Sullivan, (Husband, Ted.). Her grandchildren are George, Aidan, Casey and Brendan Shiepe, Kaitlyn and Michael Sullivan.She was raised in Portland, Maine until the passing of her father, when she was seven. She then moved to the Plains section of Lawrence with her mother, and also lived in St. Augustine, FL. She was a graduate of Lawrence High School, Class of 1955. After high school, Terry first went to work for Liberty Mutual, and then Dr. Morton B. Green. She later met her husband, George, at the Austin Guild Bowling League and danced many nights away at Bob White's in North Andover. She and George married in 1963 and settled in West Methuen to raise their family. She was an active participant in the Marsh School PTA, taught CCD for St. Monica's Parish, and was a volunteer driver for Meals on Wheels, along with being a Girl Scout leader.She established her role as a stay-at-home mother until George passed away in 1984. After his death, she worked as a site manager for Rockingham County Meals on Wheels until her retirement. She also earned an Associate degree in Human Services in 1988, Summa Cum Laude, from Castle College. She most enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, reading voraciously, watching her favorite New England sports teams, vacationing at the beach, and doing crafts. She was an avid card maker and got so much joy from sending cards to friends and family. In today's terms, Terry was a maker. She was an accomplished seamstress, knitter, crocheter, and a beautiful folk art painter. Her hand-knitted sweaters were constantly requested as new baby gifts. During her retirement, she was also able to travel throughout Europe. She will be remembered for her kindness, wisdom, and her secret charitable giving. Haverhill - Arline S. (Rogers) Martin, 87, widow of the late Jeno Martin, of Haverhill, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 5 at the Hannah Duston Healthcare Center.Born in Newburyport on April 20, 1937 she was the daughter of the late Leslie and Marcia (Knowlton) Rogers. She graduated from Newburyport High School and immediately followed her passion of becoming a nurse. She graduated from Melrose Wakefield Nursing School in 1958. Arline was the Director of Nursing for over 20 years for Whittier Health Network. She retired as director but was not ready to leave nursing and became a Case Manager until full retirement. She met many wonderful friends in the nursing field and stayed in touch with many of them.Arline loved to travel and enjoyed trips to Disney with her friend Joanne and as she would say, "one happy Island" of Aruba was her favorite destination. She loved the excitement and action at casinos and loved to play Keno. When she was not the life of the party, you could find her reading a good book or doing crafts like tole painting, cross stitch, knitting and crocheting. Arline was a woman of strong convictions, blessed with the ability and determination to get almost anything done. She was the driving force and guiding light for her family her entire life. She could not be sold on anything that didn't make sense, as she was driven by her common sense, character, and love of God to always steer the ship in the right directions.Arline had much love and dedication for her three children, seven grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. Watertown - Chhoeunly "Chilly" Phoeung, 36, of Watertown & formerly of Methuen & Lawrence, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, June 1, 2024, at Portsmouth Regional Medical Center. He was the son of Sopaul Phoeung Chhath and Rachana Neang. Born in Lawrence, Chilly and his family later moved to Methuen & he was a graduate of Methuen High School, class of 2006. A born creative type, he later attended MassArt where he received a bachelor's degree in graphic design. He was a successful graphic designer, most recently working as the art director for Kenzie Academy. Following graduation, Chilly remained in the Merrimack Valley area where he met his partner, Ryan. In 2020, they relocated to Austin, TX, where they lived happily for four years. In February of this year, they decided to return to Massachusetts & settled in Watertown. Chilly was an avid traveler. In 2015, he and his family went to Cambodia, a trip where he caught the travel bug. Since then, he and Ryan have traveled to Mexico, St. Lucia, Portugal, and several cities across America. With an appreciation for a well-prepared meal, Chilly was not embarrassed to tell you that he wasn't a cook, but in fact a food critic. Ryan loved to learn new recipes and Chilly loved to try them. Always one to take care of everyone in his life around him, he also enjoyed self-care, with a particular focus on his nails and skin. Chilly was a popular creator on social media, showcasing his love of all things plant related. Designing his own tattoos was another great love of his and he decorated his body with many beautiful pieces. Music was very important in his life; his favorite performer was Beyoncé, who he was extremely happy to have seen live in Houston last summer. Chilly and Ryan had recently lost their beloved dog and best friend, Pepper. We hope that they are together now. Chilly's loved ones want him to be remembered as a gentle, kind-hearted, responsible, silly, sweet man who put family above everything else. Together they created a blended family who came together to share family nights, celebrations big and small, and vacations. Family was very important to her and guided her every decision. At Bates College, he was the captain of the football team. On the field, he was an intense competitor. When he stepped off the field, he was a quiet leader, a dedicated friend, and a gentle soul.As an adult, he was an enthusiastic runner, completing many road races and marathons. He was disciplined about keeping fit, and his trips to the gym were a part of his daily regimen. He was also an ardent spectator of all sports. In particular, he loved watching the New England Patriots with family or friends. Watching his children engage and compete on the field was a source of immense pride for Terry. He was a keen observer and had a critical eye for the intricacies of sport.As a lifelong gardener, Terry grew vegetables each summer and loved sharing his bounty with family and friends. "Jackie" (Bedard) Blanchette of Pelham, NH, who survives him.Born in Lawrence, MA, April 16, 1930, the son of the late Louis P. and the late Yvonne (Hebert) Blanchette, he received his education through the Methuen School system.A veteran of the Korean War, Philippe proudly served his country in the U.S. Army.Prior to his retirement, Philippe worked as a Meat cutter at the former Purity Supreme Market in Pelham, NH, and previously worked at the Kenney Meat Supply Company in Lawrence, MA.Amongst his many interests, Philippe was a member of the Pelham Knights of Columbus, Pelham Garden Club, and the Pelham Spirit Club. He also had a love for snowmobiling and was a member of Pelham Border Riders.Besides his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Muriel A. She had worked as an Inspector at Western Electric prior to her retirement. She was a graduate of Pentucket High School, Class of 1967. Betty had a long career in the healthcare industry as an office administrator for local doctors and hospital facilities, working at both the Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital and Anna Jacques Hospital as well as for Dr. Joseph Andreas in Newburyport. Betty was an animal lover, she enjoyed being outdoors and walking on the beach, and going to Florida. She liked to watch the Celtics and Patriots and loved spending time with family. Atkinson - Mary C. (Bruzzese) Minior, 68, of Atkinson, NH, passed away peacefully at Brigham and Women's Hospital after a brief illness, surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of Thaddeus "Ted" Minior, with whom she shared 41 wonderful years together.Born in Lawrence, MA, the daughter of Maria (Salerno) Bruzzese and the late Frank Bruzzese, Mary was a graduate of St. Mary's High School. Mary was a proud alumna of the last graduating class of Lowell Tech (UMass Lowell), continuing her education and receiving her Master's in Business Administration from Southern New Hampshire University. Mary had distinguished career in finance; working for Wang, Hewlitt Packard, and most notably over 25 years working at Kronos, where she retired from in 2018 as Senior Director of Finance.Outgoing and social by nature, Mary loved to surround herself with family and friends. With Ted by her side, Mary was a summer fixture along the shores of Lake Winnipesaukee for the last 33 years. The massive network of friends expanded in the last ten years, as Mary and Ted spent their winters in Myrtle Beach, where Mary filled her days with walks along the beach and a newfound love for golf. She was a constant source of comfort, wisdom, and laughter. Mary found joy in traveling the world with her husband and made friends everywhere she went. Above all, Mary loved her family more than anything else. Mary cherished Sunday dinners with her parents, siblings, and nephews. Salem - Alexander F. Byron Jr, 95, of Salem, NH and previously of Andover, MA. passed away on Wednesday, May 29th, 2024, at the Salemhaven Nursing Center.He was born on December 5, 1928, to Eugenia (Beaudet) and Alexander Byron Sr. Alexander was raised in Lawrence, MA, attended local schools and went on to attend Central Catholic High School, where he was the Quarterback for the football team as well as playing baseball. He graduated in 1947 and took courses at the Franklin Institute of Electronics. Alexander married the love of his life on July 3, 1949, and the couple raised their family in Lawrence, MA. He spent his career working as a Quality Control Analyst for Western Electric, now Lucent Technologies, until his retirement in 1986.Alexander was a life member and Range Officer of the Andover Sportsmen Club and the Lawrence Rod and Gun Club, where he had served as Club President. He had a love for sports, whether it was hunting, fishing, target practicing, football, or baseball and played as a catcher for the CYO baseball team and coached in the Methuen Little League for many years.He was very proud of his family, beginning with his father and his decorated service as a Captain in the United States Army Cavalry Division, displaying his father's medals on the walls of his home. He adored his wife, or as he often referred to her, his best friend. Alex cared for her in their home until 2018. Haverhill - Joanna (Liefield) Brown, 81, died peacefully at the High Pointe Hospice House in Haverhill surrounded by the love and prayers of family and friends.She was born in Manhattan, NYC, the only child of Edward Liefield and Susie (Persico) Liefield. She attended schools in NYC, graduated from St. John's University with a degree in English and began working on Wall Street.She then met and married the love of her life and naval corpsman Dennis Brown. Together they traveled to Key West, FL, Methuen, MA, and eventually settled down in Bradford, MA, where they raised their three children.Joanna loved to read, cook and travel. Her breadth of knowledge and joy for learning was unstoppable, as was her faith, even in the toughest times.She was many things throughout her life: PTO parent, CCD catechist, substitute teacher, community activist, Sacred Heart food pantry volunteer, and ostomy support volunteer at Anna Jaques Hospital. However, more than anything she was an amazing wife, mother and grandmother.Joanna was predeceased by her beloved husband, Dennis Brown. Haverhill - Salvatore J. "Sal" Amari, 98, formerly of Haverhill, passed away on Wednesday, May 29 at the Lutheran Rehabilitation and Skilled Care Center in Worcester.Sal was born in Utica, New York the son of Joseph and Lena (Durso) Amari. A veteran of WWII, Sal served 16 months overseas under command General George Patton Co. A, 330th Infantry Regiment, the battles of Rhineland, Ardennes, and Central Europe. After the end of the War, he was assigned to the Army of Occupation in Germany before being discharged March 31, 1946. He had been drafted November 9, 1943 at age eighteen. Sal was employed for 26 years at the Boston Navy Yard as an Engineering Draftsman, retiring in 1974 when the facility was closed.A resident of the Mount Washington district of Haverhill for 78 years, he volunteered in neighborhood committees to promote improvement projects and in parish activities at St. Rita's Church until its closing. He was very active in the Italian community as the Historian of the Victor Emanuel Lodge, Order of the Sons of Italy. Many of his historical accounts are in the Special Collections section of the Haverhill Public Library. Sal has been the recipient of many awards and citations for his service to the Italian community. In an article by Gazette staff writer, Tom Vartabedian, on June 1, 1992 Sal was referred to as "Senior is Heartbeat of Italian Community".As a musician, Sal has been a member of the Lodge's Drum Corps as a drummer and instructor since 1948. Since 1965, he has been a drummer for Haverhill City Band and a member of the Haverhill Musician's Union, Local 302.Sal studied art in Boston, graduating from Scott Carbee School of Fine Arts and the School of Practical Art. He taught art classes at YWCA in 1950 and since 1997 as a substitute teacher in the Haverhill schools. He is a former member of the Greater Haverhill Art Association.Sal leaves behind his nephew, John A. Ranieri of Lancaster, MA, his brother Anthony J. Amari and his wife, Debra of Lakewood, New Mexico and a first cousin Peter Artale and his wife, Helga of Franklin, MA. He was predeceased by his sister Frances M. He graduated from Central Catholic High School and studied business at Merrimac College. Jack retired from Raytheon Technologies.Jack (or Grandpa Jack) loved traveling solo and with his daughter and granddaughters, reading, spending time with friends, and enjoying fine dining experiences. Andover - Mrs. Frances Claire (Crowley) Hennessey of Andover and Manchester-by-the-Sea, beloved wife of 53 years of the late David J. Hennessey, died peacefully Sunday, May 26, 2024 at home surrounded by her loving family.Born in Everett, January 19, 1945, Frances is the daughter of the late John and Claire Crowley. After being raised and educated in Somerville and Malden, Frances attended and graduated from Cheverus Catholic High School in Malden (Sisters of Providence). She continued her education and worked herself through Emmanual College in Boston earning her Bachelor's Degree in Science/Biology. It was in these years she met and married her love, David. After working as a teacher of nursing students in the Boston area, she and David joined the Peace Corps and shortly thereafter began their new family. David's career brought them to relocate to Puerto Rico with their first three children. Prior to the birth of their fourth child they settled in Andover Massachusetts where Frances raised the children at home. Frances was committed to her faith and actively participated in pilgrimages to the Vatican in Rome, as well as supported many World Youth Days for her family. Frances and David had a love for the ocean; many summers were spent in Gloucester at Wingaersheek Beach where they had had their first "date", and they enjoyed family days and cook-outs in Manchester-by-the-Sea, Rockport, Salisbury, Hampton, NH and York, Maine. Methuen - Eugene W. Zabierek, 93, a longtime resident of Methuen, passed away peacefully on May 27, 2024 at High Point Hospice House.Eugene was predeceased by his wife, Bertha. Eugene and Bertha celebrated 65 years of marriage with two children. He was born in Dracut, MA on June 20, 1930 to the late Anthony and Aniela (Kaczmarczyk) Zabierek.Eugene was proud to have served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. Upon his return, he began his 38-year career with Western Union Telegraph. After taking early retirement, he began his second career, for 25 years, as the Chief Grounds man at Holy Family Hospital.Eugene married Bertha on September 11, 1954 during hurricane Edna. Although the storm delayed the wedding for more than 10 hours, a determined groom made his way to his bride and they were married by candlelight. Eugene was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. When he was not spending time with his family, he could be found riding his John Deer tractor or working in his garden. He was a farmer at heart.Eugene was predeceased by his loving grandson, Aaron, who he fondly nicknamed Charlie. We believe he's giving "Charlie" a tractor ride, while teaching him how to grow the perfect lawn.Eugene is survived by his son, Gary Zabierek and his wife, Debra of Methuen, MA, his daughter Gail Zabierek and her wife Pam of Effinghamm, NH, his granddaughters Ashley Chester and her husband John, Alyssa Carsanaro and her wife Arianna, four great-grandchildren, Mikaela and Johnny Chester, and Aaron and Asher Carsanaro.
